Party-loving Vietnamese

Right now, as I am writing these lines, I am surrounded by party-loving Vietnamese people in the middle of the woods. I never would have thought that the woods in the middle of nowhere in Vietnam could be louder than downtown Hanoi. Hehe.

They start playing loud music early in the morning and keep the party going all day long. In another corner of the woods, the karaoke lovers are singing passionately. The mix of all the music and sounds is honestly a bit confusing, as I am not sure which one I am supposed to tune into.

So, we spend most of our time working on our laptops from bed. To be honest, it is starting to get a little boring, and I miss home.

We are learning from this trip. Next time, I don't think we will stay away from home for more than six weeks.

Getting back to Japan

In two days, we will return to Hanoi to catch our flight to Japan. I am so excited to go back. It will be a completely different experience: the culture, the language, and the weather.

The temperatures in Shizuoka will be between 19°C and 25°C, which is much cooler than Hanoi's current 37°C to 43°C. We will be able to walk outside much more comfortably. And since I am healing quickly, I will finally be able to walk a little faster and for longer too 🙂
