had a ski training day with my friend, Kieran who is a professional trainer in the village where I live. For the first time he took me to a real green run. As you might know green runs can vary in difficulty, and this one had sections that felt closer to blue. Some parts literally looked like walls. It was too scary to go down them 😬 especially since I’ve only just started learning. Kieran is pretty hard on me 😆.

A big problem happened there, too. I was so focused on keeping my balance and controlling my speed that I didn’t pay attention to the signs on the trail. So several times, I missed the fork where the green run split from the blue run and ended up skiing down the blue instead 😨. Kieran shouted “Wrong, wrong!” but by the time I stopped, it was too late 😱.

To get back to the green run, one time I had to climb back up using my skis and poles. Another time, we had to find a shortcut through the woods to return to the green run.

Oh, it was a real adventure scary but fun 😅. To be honest I feel more confident now but I still need lots of practice and courage.

Here are some photos from the day:

My first GREEN run

A ski training day that pushed my limits, led to a few wrong turns onto blue runs and ended up building my confidence on the slopes.
